about

I’m a Brooklyn-based artist and visual arts educator at a public middle school. I am from Florida’s Space Coast but have very happily claimed Brooklyn as my permanent home, though I will always romanticize the incredible nature, wildlife, and pastel beach-town aesthetic of my hometown. I love to incorporate colors into my work that remind me of the whimsically (and sometimes gaudily) painted homes and cotton-candy sunsets that I saw growing up. I am forever fascinated with the mundanity of human experience. I seek beauty in the day-to-day and people have always been and will always be my muse. I love the human form, particularly feminine features, which are often seen in my work. Portrait painting is my ultimate passion, though I am always eager to learn and practice in new mediums.
